Start by marinating your shrimp in olive oil, salt and pepper, Dan-O’s original seasoning, lemon zest, Aleppo pepper, red pepper, cayenne pepper and grated garlic.
Cook the shrimp on both sides for a couple minutes, be careful not to overcook and then remove and set aside.
Add a touch of butter to the pan and then saute your shallot with salt, pepper, more Dan-O’s and Calabrian chillies.
Once soft, throw in the minced garlic and add in the orzo to toast for a few minutes.
Deglaze with white wine and scrape up any brown bits on the bottom of the pan.
Add in your chicken broth and season again with a touch of salt and more Dan-O’s.
Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Once the orzo is just about done, add in heavy cream and let that simmer for another couple minutes to thicken.
Add in a touch of butter, the Parmesan cheese and that cooked shrimp.
Give it a stir and then finish with some black pepper, lemon zest, fresh parsley and lemon juice.
