Directions

1Add five tomatillos, one roma tomato, one chile serrano or jalapeño, and eight chile de árbol to a small saucepan.
2Cover the ingredients with water.
3Set the saucepan over high heat and bring it to a boil.
4Once it comes to a boil, transfer the cooked ingredients to a blender cup.
5Add a little handful of cilantro, two garlic cloves, and salt to the blender cup.
6Blend until smooth.
7Transfer the salsa to a bowl.
8Add onion, cilantro, and avocado to the salsa in the bowl.
9Mix the salsa.
10Taste for salt and adjust if needed.
