Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

To make the sauce, mix together slivered garlic, fresh cilantro, lime zest, salt, pepper, and softened butter in a bowl.

Cut two pieces of parchment paper large enough to fold over the fish and create a sealed packet.

Spread the garlic butter mixture all over the salmon.

Place the salmon on a sheet of parchment paper and add a squeeze of fresh lime juice.

Fold over the parchment paper and seal it by crimping the edges.

Place the sealed parchment paper packets on a baking sheet.

Bake for just 10 to 12 minutes.

Carefully open each packet.

Add the crushed red chili flakes (if using).

Serve the salmon still in the parchment paper on a plate and add the rice directly on the garlic butter sauce so that it soaks up all that flavor.

Tips
Serve the salmon with rice to soak up the garlic butter sauce.
The cleanup is very easy with this method.
