Parmesan Crusted Argentinian Red Shrimp

Directions

  1. 1Peel the Argentinian red shrimp.
  2. 2Add a little oil to the shrimp as a binder.
  3. 3Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese mixed with Italian herbs and spices (cheesening).
  4. 4Mix the shrimp and cheesening together.
  5. 5Fine chop garlic.
  6. 6Pick the leaves off a bushel of curly parsley and fine chop them.
  7. 7Put the chopped parsley in a bowl.
  8. 8Add the chopped garlic to a pan and turn the pan to medium-high temperature.
  9. 9Add a little olive oil to the pan with the garlic.
  10. 10Add 3/4 of a stick of Kerrygold butter to the pan.
  11. 11Move the butter and garlic around to prevent burning, keeping the heat on low.
  12. 12Once the butter is fully melted, pour it into the mixing bowl over the parsley.
  13. 13Return the pan to the stove, turn to medium temperature.
  14. 14Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil and the rest of the Kerrygold butter to the pan.
  15. 15Mix the butter and oil together in the pan.
  16. 16Cook the shrimp in the pan for about two minutes per side to get a nice crust.
  17. 17Flip the shrimp to cook the other side.
  18. 18Remove the shrimp from the pan and plate them.
  19. 19Sprinkle generously with spicy Dan-O's seasoning.
  20. 20Add more cheesening to the mix.
  21. 21Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp, catching the seeds.
  22. 22Mix everything together.
  23. 23Pour the sauce over the cooked shrimp.

Tips

  • Do not burn the garlic or butter when making the sauce.
  • Argentinian red shrimp are super tender and hard to overcook.
