Hamburger Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Corn

Directions

  1. 1Add two pounds of ground beef, some chopped green onions, a tablespoon of cajun seasoning, a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce, a little bit of onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and a spoonful of pure cane syrup to a bowl.
  2. 2Mix the ingredients together.
  3. 3Form your patties.
  4. 4Brown the patties in a hot skillet on both sides until they have a good sear.
  5. 5Once the patties are brown, pull them out.
  6. 6Drain off any grease if needed.
  7. 7Toss in some sliced onions and a container of sliced mushrooms into the skillet.
  8. 8Let the onions and mushrooms cook down.
  9. 9Add in four tablespoons of unsalted butter and a little bit of garlic and herb seasoning.
  10. 10When the veggies are soft, throw in some minced garlic and a quarter cup of flour.
  11. 11Give it a good mix.
  12. 12Slowly pour in three cups of unsalted beef broth.
  13. 13Season the mixture again.
  14. 14Bring the gravy to a simmer.
  15. 15Add your patties back into the gravy.
  16. 16Let everything cook down until it's nice and thick.
  17. 17Serve over mashed potatoes or rice with corn on the side.

  • minced garlic
  • 0.25 cup flour
  • 3 cups unsalted beef broth
  • mashed potatoes
  • corn
