Bourbon Butter Ribeye Bites with Mash & Broccolini

Directions

  1. 1Boil potatoes until tender.
  2. 2Drain, mash, then stir in melted butter and warm milk until smooth.
  3. 3Season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4Pat dry, season, and sear steak bites in butter over high heat for about 2 minutes per side until browned.
  5. 5Remove steak bites from pan.
  6. 6Reduce heat.
  7. 7Add butter, garlic, thyme, and chili flakes.
  8. 8Cook for 30 seconds.
  9. 9Add bourbon and honey, scraping up browned bits.
  10. 10Reduce until glossy.
  11. 11Return steak bites to the pan and toss in the sauce until coated.
  12. 12Sauté, boil, or roast broccolini with olive oil and salt until tender.
  13. 13Spoon mash onto the plate.
  14. 14Top with steak bites.
  15. 15Drizzle with sauce.
  16. 16Serve broccolini on the side.
  17. 17Garnish with thyme or flaky salt if desired.

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • to taste Chili flakes
  • 800 g potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 6 tbsp melted butter
  • 0.5 cup warm milk
  • Black pepper
  • 1 bunch broccolini
  • olive oil
