Make the sauce: Add 6 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to a bowl. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.

Roughly chop 1/3 cup of onion and 1/3 cup of Korean pear.

Blend 1/3 cup of chopped onion, 1/3 cup of chopped Korean pear, 1/3 cup of water, and 1/2 tablespoon of garlic until smooth.

Combine the blended mixture with the sauce.

Add 3 tablespoons of mirin (or sake), 1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and some black pepper to the sauce. Mix well.

Thinly slice 300 grams of rib eye roll.

Marinate the thinly sliced rib eye roll in the sauce for at least 30 minutes (24 hours is preferred).

Heat some oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until 70-80% done.

Add 50 grams of chopped onion and 1-2 chopped scallions.

Add 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds.
