Toffee Triangles

Directions

  1. 1Line 10x15 baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. 2Beat butter with brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. 3Add egg yolk and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  4. 4Add flour, one cup at a time, until combined.
  5. 5Add 1 cup of toffee bits, stirring until they are evenly distributed through the dough.
  6. 6Press dough evenly into prepared pan.
  7. 7Bake for 15-17 minutes, or just until beginning to turn golden.
  8. 8Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot cookie crust.
  9. 9Let stand for 3-5 minutes, or until chocolate chips are softened.
  10. 10Spread chocolate evenly over top with a knife or rubber spatula.
  11. 11Sprinkle toffee chips over top of melted chocolate.
  12. 12Let cool for several hours.
  13. 13When bars have cooled and chocolate is set, remove from pan.
  14. 14Lay a sheet of wax paper on cutting board. Then remove the parchment paper and lay your bark down. This makes for a great cutting surface.
  15. 15Cut bars into squares, then cut each square in half diagonally.

  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups toffee bits, divided
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Tips

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Lay a sheet of wax paper on your cutting board. Then remove the parchment paper and lay your bark down. This makes for a great cutting surface.
