Simple Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli

Directions

  1. 1Add the cut chuck roast to your crock pot.
  2. 2Combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic cloves in a bowl.
  3. 3Whisk the mixture well.
  4. 4Pour the whisked sauce over the meat in the crock pot, ensuring every piece is coated.
  5. 5Put the lid on the crock pot and set it to low for three hours.
  6. 6After two and a half hours, take the lid off, give it a quick stir, and try a piece of beef.
  7. 7In a separate bowl, whisk together water and cornstarch to create a slurry.
  8. 8Pour the cornstarch slurry into the crock pot.
  9. 9Add the broccoli florets to the crock pot.
  10. 10Stir everything together.
  11. 11Put the lid back on the crock pot for another 30 minutes.
  12. 12Once the 30 minutes are up, take the lid off.
  13. 13Serve the beef and broccoli over rice in a bowl.
  14. 14Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
