  2. 2Peel three lemons.
  3. 3Add the ginger and lemons to a blender.
  4. 4Cut an orange in half and peel half of it.
  5. 5Add the half-peeled orange to the blender.
  6. 6Add about a cup of filtered water to the blender. Coconut water can also be used.
  7. 7Blend the mixture.
  8. 8Place a nut milk bag or cheesecloth over a measuring cup and pour the blended mixture into it.
  9. 9Strain all the pulp out by squeezing the bag.
  10. 10Add a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to the juice.
  11. 11Add about a teaspoon of turmeric to the juice. You can use fresh turmeric and blend it in, but powdered turmeric is preferred to avoid staining.
  12. 12Add a little bit of black pepper to activate the turmeric.
  13. 13Mix all the added ingredients into the juice.
  14. 14Pour the wellness shots into small glass jars for storage.
  15. 15Cap the jars for storage.

Ingredients

  • ginger
  • 3 lemons
  • 0.5 orange
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • coconut water
  • 1 sprinkle cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 sprinkle black pepper

Equipment

Tips

  • You can blend the lemons with the peels on, but it's one less thing to strain out afterwards if you peel them.
  • If you add turmeric, you need a little bit of black pepper to activate it.
  • The color of the shots turns out a little bit different every time depending on the quantities of everything, but you can't really go wrong.
  • You can order small glass jars for the shots on Amazon.
