Directions

  1. 1In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, yeast, baking powder, and milk powder.
  2. 2Add 3 cups of coconut milk and mix until smooth. You might need a bit more coconut milk to get the right consistency.
  3. 3Cover and let the batter rise for 1 hour or until it doubles.
  4. 4Heat a cast-iron or stainless steel pan.
  5. 5In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp salt with 1 cup of water.
  6. 6Sprinkle the salt water onto the hot pan, grab a handful of dough, and spread it out on the pan.
  7. 7Sprinkle sesame seeds and cover the pan.
  8. 8Cook until the top is dry, then flip the pan over to cook the top side. Aim for a light char.
  9. 9Use a spatula to lift the bread off the pan and brush with melted butter.
  10. 10Repeat with the rest of the batter.
