Korean BBQ Steak Fried Rice

Directions

  1. 1Slice topside beef steaks into cubes.
  2. 2Add seasonings, baking soda, gochujang, sesame seeds, honey, and light & dark soy sauce to the cubed steak bites.
  3. 3Mix well and marinate the steak.
  4. 4In a bowl, combine yogurt, light mayo, ketchup, seasonings, gochujang, honey, and a dash of milk until smooth and creamy for the yum yum sauce.
  5. 5Store the yum yum sauce in a bottle.
  6. 6Spread the marinated steak and sliced red onion on a lined sheet pan.
  7. 7Mix together, spread evenly, and spray with cooking oil.
  8. 8Bake at 200C / 400F for 15 minutes.
  9. 9Broil for an extra 5 minutes until crispy and caramelized.
  10. 10Remove the steak from the sheet pan, leaving the juices on the tray.
  11. 11Add chopped onion, green onion, grated carrots, sweet corn, chopped kimchi, and sesame seeds to the sheet pan.
  12. 12Toss the vegetables in the steak juices, spread flat.
  13. 13Roast at 190C / 390F for 15 minutes until tender.
  14. 14While the tray is still hot, add garlic powder, cooked white rice, green onion, soy sauce, and light butter.
  15. 15Mix gently until fluffy and well combined.
  16. 16Serve with Korean BBQ steak and yum yum sauce.
