Directions

  1. 1Start by cooking 7 strips of hickory smoked bacon in a cast iron pan.
  2. 2Once the bacon is done, remove it from the pan.
  3. 3Add 85/15 beef patties to the pan with bacon grease.
  4. 4Sear the beef patties on both sides, then remove them from the pan.
  5. 5Add one medium-sized diced onion to the pan.
  6. 6Add one diced bell pepper to the pan.
  7. 7Cook the onions and bell peppers for a few minutes until they soften.
  8. 8Add 8 ounces of fresh sliced mushrooms to the pan.
  9. 9Add approximately one tablespoon of "Worshyoursister Sauce" to the vegetables.
  10. 10Add approximately one tablespoon of black pepper.
  11. 11Add approximately one tablespoon of granulated garlic.
  12. 12Add approximately one tablespoon of "flavor time" seasoning.
  13. 13Stir the vegetables and seasonings together.
  14. 14Add 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour to the pan and continuously stir until it turns a dark color.
  15. 15Slowly add in 32 ounces of beef broth while continuously stirring.
  16. 16Bring the gravy mixture to a low simmer.
  17. 17Add the seared beef patties back into the gravy.
  18. 18Place the pan in a 300-degree oven and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  19. 19Serve the hamburger steak on top of homemade mashed potatoes with extra gravy and green beans.
