Gochujang Mayak (Drug) Eggs

Directions

  1. 1Place eggs into a pot of boiling water.
  2. 2Boil the eggs for 7 minutes.
  3. 3After boiling, place the eggs in an ice bath to prevent overcooking.
  4. 4Carefully peel your eggs.
  5. 5Put the peeled eggs into a separate container.
  6. 6Chop down a bunch of green onions.
  7. 7Chop half a yellow onion.
  8. 8Mince down a bunch of garlic.
  9. 9Dice up one jalapeño.
  10. 10Add gochujang to a bowl with the chopped vegetables.
  11. 11Add water to the marinade.
  12. 12Add soy sauce to the marinade.
  13. 13Add dark soy sauce to the marinade.
  14. 14Add honey to the marinade.
  15. 15Add Korean red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  16. 16Add MSG to the marinade.
  17. 17Add a bunch of sesame seeds to the marinade.
  18. 18Mix the marinade until it looks like a sauce.
  19. 19Add the marinade to your eggs in the container.
  20. 20Cover the eggs and marinade with a paper towel so your eggs are fully covered.
  21. 21Close the lid of the container.
  22. 22Put the container in the fridge for up to a week.
  23. 23When ready to serve, place a bed of rice in a bowl.
  24. 24Add a marinated egg on top of the rice.
  25. 25Add some more marinade on top of the egg.
  26. 26Cut the egg in half to reveal the yolk.

  • 2 tablespoons Korean red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon msg
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • white distilled vinegar
  • ice
  • rice
