Beer Cheese Dip

Directions

  1. 1Melt half a stick of butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2Add 1/4 cup of flour to the melted butter and stir on medium or low heat until it looks like a paste.
  3. 3Slowly add in 1 cup of cold milk while stirring to incorporate it.
  4. 4Once stirred and incorporated, turn the heat down to low.
  5. 5Add in 2/3 of a cup of beer, slowly pouring and stirring.
  6. 6Once the beer is stirred in and smooth, turn the heat back up to a five.
  7. 7Add in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, one teaspoon of Dijon mustard, and one teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.
  8. 8Give it a mix to incorporate everything.
  9. 9Add in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and 1 cup of shredded Gouda.
  10. 10Stir until all the cheese is melted.
  11. 11Add one finely diced jalapeno with no seeds (optional step).
  12. 12Give it one final stir.
