EASY crockpot French dip sandwiches

Directions

  1. 1Season a 2.5 lb chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. 2Sear the roast on both sides in a pan (optional step).
  3. 3Place sliced onions in a crockpot.
  4. 4Add the seared chuck roast to the crockpot.
  5. 5Sprinkle a packet of onion soup mix over the roast.
  6. 6Add a packet of au jus.
  7. 7Add a couple dashes of Worcestershire sauce.
  8. 8Pour in 4 cups of beef broth.
  9. 9Cook on low for 8 hours.
  10. 10Remove the meat, shred it, and add a little of the juice.
  11. 11Make a flavored mayo by mixing mayonnaise, garlic powder, Holy Gospel, and Honey Hog.
  12. 12Place pepper jack cheese on a split French baguette.
  13. 13Broil until the cheese is melted.
  14. 14Spread the flavored mayo on the bread.
  15. 15Add shredded meat and onions to the sandwich.
  16. 16Dip the sandwich in the au jus before eating.
