Directions

  1. 1Start by chopping onions and finely mincing garlic.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs with evaporated milk and mix, allowing the breadcrumbs to absorb the milk for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Add ground beef along with minced onions and garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and an egg for binder.
  4. 4Mix thoroughly and form 6-ounce balls, then flatten them into patties.
  5. 5Cook the burger steaks for a few minutes on each side with a little bit of oil until each side is nicely caramelized.
  6. 6Make the gravy by slicing a bunch of mushrooms and sautéing it with butter in a pan for about 5 minutes.
  7. 7Add flour and cook it out for another few minutes to get rid of that raw flour taste.
  8. 8Pour in homemade beef stock and stir until it's nice and thick, which will take about 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. 9Season the mushroom gravy with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  10. 10Finally, serve the burger steak with rice and some of that mushroom gravy on top, then enjoy.
