Throw 1 pound of lean ground beef into a cast iron pan or wok.
Break up and brown the beef.
While the beef is browning, make the sauce: combine 1.5 cups of beef broth, 3 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce or cocoa aminos, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of rice vinegar, 0.5 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 0.25 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
Whisk the sauce until beautifully combined and set aside.
Add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon of ginger to the browned beef.
Stir in the garlic and ginger and cook for a minute or two until fragrant.
Drain any grease from the beef.
Drop 12 ounces of frozen broccoli into the pan with the beef.
Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and broccoli.
Give it a quick stir and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Let it simmer for 4 to 6 minutes until the broccoli is tender; if you have a lid, throw it on there.
Once the broccoli is done, whip up a cornstarch slurry and pour it into the pan.
Stir the cornstarch slurry in real good and bring the whole thing back to a boil to thicken the sauce.
Add a little bit of toasted sesame oil and stir it in.
Serve the beef and broccoli high on top of a bowl of rice.
