Lemon Butter Garlic Pasta

Directions

  1. 1Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  2. 2Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside the pasta.
  3. 3Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. 4Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  5. 5Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. 6Add salt, black pepper, chili flakes, oregano, and basil, then stir well.
  7. 7Stir in lemon zest and juice, then let it simmer for 1 minute.
  8. 8Add chopped parsley and stir to combine.
  9. 9Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat.
  10. 10Pour in the reserved pasta water gradually to loosen the sauce.
  11. 11Stir in grated Parmesan until melted and creamy.

  • 8 oz dry pasta (spaghetti, linguine, etc.)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.5 onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 zest lemon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 0.5 cup reserved pasta water
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley

Tips
