Oi Muchim (Spicy Cucumber Salad)

Directions

  1. 1Peel a little bit of the cucumber skin.
  2. 2Cut the cucumber into thick slices.
  3. 3Cut the onion into thin slices.
  4. 4Finely chop the garlic.
  5. 5Add sugar to a mixing bowl with the sliced cucumber, onion, and chopped garlic.
  6. 6Add chili powder to the bowl.
  7. 7Add vinegar to the bowl.
  8. 8Add fish sauce to the bowl.
  9. 9Add corn syrup to the bowl.
  10. 10Add chili paste to the bowl.
  11. 11Pour sesame oil into the bowl.
  12. 12Sprinkle sesame seeds generously into the bowl.
  13. 13Mix all the ingredients well by hand until everything is coated.
  14. 14Place some of the prepared cucumber salad into a storage container.
  15. 15Add rice to the remaining seasoning in the mixing bowl and mix it.

  • 1 tablespoon anchovy fish sauce

  • 0.5 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 0.5 chili paste (gochujang)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 generous amount sesame seeds
