Raw Mint Leaf Syrup

Directions

  1. 1Wash and remove the mint leaves from the stems.
  2. 2Roughly chop the mint leaves to release their aroma.
  3. 3Layer equal parts of chopped mint leaves and sugar into a jar.
  4. 4Add a generous drizzle of lemon juice to the jar and press gently.
  5. 5Close the lid and let the mixture sit in the fridge for 48 to 72 hours, giving it a quick mix every day.
  6. 6Strain the syrup into a clean jar and store in the fridge.

  • 2-3 whole lemon

Tips

  • Use white granulated sugar as other types will alter the taste.
