Directions

  1. 1Mix curd, salt, dhaniya powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, haldi powder, spicy red chilli powder, meat masala, and jeera powder in a bowl.
  2. 2Add the marinated mutton to the bowl and mix well.
  3. 3Let the mutton rest for 30 minutes.
  4. 4Heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker.
  5. 5Add whole spices (Kaali Mirch, Choti Elaichi, Badi Elaichi, Laung, Dalchini, dried chillies, Tej Patta, and Jeera) to the hot oil.
  6. 6Add the chopped garlic and saute until golden brown.
  7. 7Add sliced onions and cook until translucent.
  8. 8Add grated ginger and green chilies. Saute for a few minutes.
  9. 9Add the marinated mutton along with its marinade to the cooker. Cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.
  10. 10Add the tomato puree and salt. Stir well and cook for another 4-5 minutes on medium flame.
  11. 11Add coriander stems. Cover and cook for 4 minutes in medium-low flame.
  12. 12Once the pressure cooker is completely cool, open it and add grated mace and nutmeg.
  13. 13Add 2 cups of hot water and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.

  • 2 tsp Meat masala
  • 1 tsp Jeera powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
  • 0.25 cup mustard oil
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cup hot water
  • 1 pinch mace
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
