In a pot, brown 1 pound of ground beef with 1 diced onion and 4 minced garlic cloves.
Once browned, drain the excess fat and add 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of oregano, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir until well combined.
Add 3 cups of chicken broth, 1 cup of whole milk, and 1 can of tomato sauce. Stir gently.
Add 16 oz of Cavatappi pasta and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Continue to stir and cook until most of the liquid is absorbed and the pasta is soft. Turn off the heat.
Add 1 cup of freshly shredded cheddar cheese and stir to thicken the sauce.
Serve in a bowl and sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes, if desired.
