Directions

  1. 1Add the tri-tip to your crock pot.
  2. 2In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of salt, a half a teaspoon of pepper, a half a teaspoon of rosemary, a half a teaspoon of thyme, and two minced garlic cloves.
  3. 3Whisk all the spices and garlic together.
  4. 4Pour the spice rub on top of the tri-tip and rub it in.
  5. 5Grab two cups of beef broth.
  6. 6Add two tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce to the beef broth.
  7. 7Stir the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce together.
  8. 8Pour the liquid around the tri-tip in the crock pot, being careful not to wash off the rub.
  9. 9Put the lid on the crock pot and set it to low for 6 to 8 hours.
  10. 10Once the time is up, remove the lid.
  11. 11Use two forks to check if the tri-tip pulls apart easily; if it does, it's done.
  12. 12Shred the tri-tip with the two forks.
  13. 13Get a toasted bun with provolone cheese.
  14. 14Pile the shredded tri-tip high on the bun.
  15. 15Skim off some of the au jus from the crock pot.
  16. 16Dip your sandwich in the au jus.
  17. 17Enjoy the sandwich.
