Cut the stale bread into small pieces.

Soak the bread pieces in milk.

Mix the soaked bread with beef mince, pork sausage, parsley, parmesan cheese, garlic, and an egg.

Roll the mixture into meatballs.

Prepare a simple tomato sauce with onions, garlic, passata and oregano.

Sear the meatballs in olive oil until nicely browned.

Add the seared meatballs to the tomato sauce.

Stir the meatballs in the sauce and let them simmer.

Blanch some basil leaves and place them in ice water.

Blitz the basil leaves with oil and strain.

Cook the spaghetti.

Plate the spaghetti, add the meatballs and the basil oil. Top with parmesan cheese.
