Wash the apples thoroughly, slice them into rings, and remove the core.

In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.

Coat the apple rings in this mixture to enhance their flavor.

Lightly roll out the puff pastry.

Cut the puff pastry into six equal pieces.

Place an apple ring in the center of each piece.

Make small cuts along the edges of the pastry and wrap it around the apple, leaving the top open.

Place a walnut in the center of each apple ring.

Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the pastries.

Sprinkle with sugar for extra crunch.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the pastries for 15 minutes until golden brown.

Carefully remove from the oven and dust with powdered sugar for decoration.
