Directions

  1. 1Chop the dates.
  2. 2Soften the dates in hot water for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. 3Blend the dates.
  4. 4Combine blended dates with egg, oil, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  5. 5Add powdered sugar.
  6. 6Mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients.
  7. 7Pour batter into a greased baking dish.
  8. 8Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
  9. 9Make a simple caramel sauce with dulce de leche and milk.
  10. 10Stir well for about 3 minutes until it is creamy and velvety.
  11. 11Drizzle caramel sauce over the cake.
  12. 12Top with walnuts and chopped dates.

  • 130 g All-purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 can dulce de leche
  • 0.5 cup milk of choice
  • walnuts
