Cheesy French Onion Potatoes

Directions

  1. 1Place frozen hash browns and a container of french onion dip into a 9x13 pan.
  2. 2Break up and mix the french onion dip into the hash browns.
  3. 3Add one can of unsalted cream of chicken soup to the pan.
  4. 4Add one can of condensed cheese soup to the pan.
  5. 5Add Cajun seasoning and pepper to the mixture.
  6. 6Mix all ingredients thoroughly until evenly combined.
  7. 7Flatten the mixture evenly in the 9x13 pan.
  8. 8Sprinkle one bag of triple cheddar cheese over the top.
  9. 9Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour.

Tips

  • You can make your own cream of chicken soup if you don't like the canned version.
  • Fat-free and gluten-free cream of chicken soup options are available.
  • You can season this however you like; garlic powder or onion powder are alternatives to Cajun seasoning.
  • Skip the salt as the french onion dip and condensed cheese soup are already salty.
  • You can mix ingredients in a large bowl if available, otherwise mixing directly in the pan is easier and saves washing an extra dish.
  • This can also be made in a cast iron pan.
  • You can use mozzarella, medium cheddar, sharp cheddar, or mild cheddar instead of triple cheddar.
