Broccoli, Cheddar Soup

Directions

  1. 1Ladle soup into a bowl.
  2. 2Grind black pepper over the soup.
  3. 3Pour single cream in a swirl over the soup.
  4. 4Add croutons to the soup.
  5. 5Sprinkle chives over the soup.
  6. 6Peel the potatoes.
  7. 7Cut the peeled potatoes into thick slices.
  8. 8Dice the potato slices.
  9. 9Add cooked bacon to the slow cooker.
  10. 10Add broccoli to the slow cooker.
  11. 11Add diced potatoes to the slow cooker.
  12. 12Add diced onion to the slow cooker.
  13. 13Sprinkle garlic granules into the slow cooker.
  14. 14Sprinkle dried thyme into the slow cooker.
  15. 15Grind black pepper into the slow cooker.
  16. 16Pour vegetable stock into the slow cooker.
  17. 17Stir the ingredients in the slow cooker.
  18. 18Place the lid on the slow cooker.

  20. 20Dice the bread strips into cubes.
  21. 21Transfer bread cubes into a metal bowl.

  25. 25Toss the bread cubes to coat them with oil and seasoning.
  26. 26Transfer seasoned bread cubes to an air fryer basket.
  27. 27Slice the cheddar cheese into planks.
  28. 28Dice the cheese planks into cubes.
  29. 29Remove the lid from the slow cooker after cooking.
  30. 30Add diced cheese to the slow cooker.
  31. 31Stir the cheese into the soup until melted.
  32. 32Pour single cream into the slow cooker.
  33. 33Stir the cream into the soup.
  34. 34Use a hand blender to blend the soup until smooth.

  • 1 tsp Garlic granules
  • 1 tsp Mixed herbs

Tips

  • Thicken the soup with potatoes instead of flour for a really filling consistency.
  • Bacon is optional; the soup can be made vegetarian by omitting it.

  • Add cheese and cream at the end, then blend until smooth.
