Apple and puff pastry dessert

Directions

  1. 1Spread the sheet of puff pastry on the table.
  2. 2Roll out the puff pastry.
  3. 3Trim the edges of the puff pastry with a pizza cutter.
  4. 4Cut out equal circles from the dough using a round cookie cutter.
  5. 5Brush the dough circles with apricot jam.
  6. 6Remove the core from two apples.
  7. 7Cut the apples into thin rounds using a mandoline slicer.
  8. 8Place an apple slice on top of each jam-covered dough circle.
  9. 9Cover each with another dough circle, pressing gently to seal.
  10. 10Cut the edges of the dough into equal strips, leaving the center intact, using a knife and an electric whisk beater for guidance.
  11. 11Twist the dough strips to create a decorative flower shape.
  12. 12Place the assembled desserts on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  13. 13Brush the desserts with beaten egg.
  14. 14Bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C (356 °F).
  15. 15Dissolve instant coffee with sugar, vanilla essence, and hot water in a glass, whisking until frothy.
  16. 16Add some ice cubes to the coffee mixture.
  17. 17Pour milk into the glass, creating layers for an iced coffee drink.
