Apple Crisp
Directions
- 1Cut up the apples into small pieces about this size.
- 2Juice a whole lemon over the apples.
- 3Toss the apples with the lemon juice.
- 4Transfer the apples to a bigger bowl.
- 5Add a fourth of a cup of brown sugar to the apples.
- 6Add a fourth of a cup of granulated sugar to the apples.
- 7Add a lot of vanilla to the apples.
- 8Add a little splash of maple syrup to the apples.
- 9Add a lot of cinnamon to the apples.
- 10Mix the apples with all the ingredients.
- 11For the topping, take three-quarters of a cup of oats and add them to a bowl.
- 12Add three-quarters of a cup of flour to the bowl.
- 13Add three-quarters of a cup of brown sugar to the bowl.
- 14Add a fourth of a cup of granulated sugar to the bowl.
- 15Add cinnamon to the bowl.
- 16Mix the dry ingredients together first.
- 17Add a pinch of salt to the dry ingredients and mix.
- 18Cut up one stick (half a cup) of cold butter into little cubes.
- 19Add the butter cubes to the dry ingredients.
- 20Massage and squeeze the butter into the flour until it looks like little pea-sized butter pieces.
- 21Grease a baking dish.
- 22Add the apple mixture to the baking dish and spread it evenly.
- 23Sprinkle the crumble topping on top of the apples.
- 24Put the baking dish in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 40 to 50 minutes, or until the top is golden.
- 25Serve the apple crisp in a bowl with vanilla ice cream on top.

Tips
- Don't peel the apples if you don't feel like it.
- This is not a measurement-based recipe, you can throw everything into a bowl and put it in the oven.
- When cooking, go for color and smell, not really off of time. Just check it occasionally.
- Massage and pinch the butter into the flour until it looks like small pea-sized butter pieces.
