Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine plain flour, baking powder, and the KFC secret herbs and spices (salt, mustard powder, thyme, basil, black pepper, celery salt, white pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, smoked paprika, oregano).
  2. 2Mix the dry ingredients together.
  3. 3Add one whisked egg to the diced chicken breast.
  4. 4Coat each piece of chicken evenly in the flour mixture.
  5. 5Lay the coated chicken pieces on baking paper on a tray.
  6. 6Spray the chicken with light cooking oil spray.
  7. 7Air fry at 200°C/400°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, or oven bake at 190°C/375°F for 18-22 minutes.
  8. 8Cut potatoes into french fry shapes.
  9. 9Soak the cut potatoes in an ice bath for 10 minutes to remove extra starch.
  10. 10Pat the potatoes completely dry.
  11. 11Spray the dried potatoes with light cooking oil spray.
  12. 12Add half of the KFC seasoning mix (salt, chicken stock powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder) to the potatoes.
  13. 13Mix the seasoned potatoes well.
  14. 14Air fry at 200°C/400°F for 20-25 minutes, shaking halfway, or oven bake at 200°C/400°F for 25-35 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden brown.
  15. 15Sprinkle the rest of the seasoning onto the cooked fries and mix.
  16. 16Serve the crispy fries with the delicious popcorn chicken.
