Coat the bottom of a pan with extra virgin olive oil.

Add one medium diced onion, 2 cloves of garlic and 5 pieces of basil to the pan.

Let the onions become tender, then add a little bit of salt and pepper.

Add four slices of chopped prosciutto to the pan.

Add half a cup of vodka and let it burn off a little bit.

Add one can of whole peeled tomatoes and one can of crushed tomatoes.

Crush the whole tomatoes with a potato masher.

Add 2 tablespoons of sugar.

Let it cook for about 30 minutes.

Add half a teaspoon of salt and pepper, and a quarter teaspoon of red pepper flakes.

Add a quarter cup of Locatelli Romano cheese.

Simmer for 5 minutes.
