Chicken Fried Steak Fingers

Directions

  1. 1Pour buttermilk in a bowl, add hot sauce and seasoned salt, mix.
  2. 2Cut cubed steak into fingers and let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. 3Sprinkle all-purpose flour on a plate, season with seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper.
  4. 4Pour oil in a skillet to cover the bottom.
  5. 5Dredge steak fingers in the flour mixture, ensuring the batter is moist.
  6. 6Cook the steak fingers for about 3-4 minutes on each side in the hot oil.
  7. 7Remove from skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
  8. 8Remove the majority of the oil from the skillet, leaving about 1/4 cup.
  9. 9Add 1/4 cup all-purpose flour and cook on low for 2-3 minutes while stirring constantly.
  10. 10Add 2 cups of whole milk, and season with salt and black pepper.
  11. 11Whisk the mixture together and stir while it heats up and thickens to the desired consistency.
