Directions

  1. 1Chop 1 pound of bacon and add it to a large skillet on medium heat. Start cooking the bacon.
  2. 2Add 1 1/2 lbs of cubed chicken to a large bowl and season it well. Toss the chicken.
  3. 3Add a few tablespoons of cornstarch to the chicken and toss it again.
  4. 4Shred a whole block of cheese, but you'll only use around half of it, maybe just a little bit more.
  5. 5Once the bacon is almost cooked through, add half a diced onion to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent and the bacon is crispy.
  6. 6Take the bacon and onion out of the pan and let it drain in some paper towels, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
  7. 7Start cooking the seasoned chicken in the bacon grease for about 3 minutes on both sides, then toss it up for 30 seconds until it's nice and crispy.
  8. 8Remove the chicken from the pan.
  9. 9To the same pan, add one carton of chicken broth and 1 lb of pasta. Set the heat to medium-high.
  10. 10Once it starts boiling, cook for around 8 to 9 minutes until the chicken broth is absorbed and the noodles are cooked through.
  11. 11Lower the heat and add 1 cup of heavy cream or half and half.
  12. 12Add around 1 cup of shredded cheese, stir until melted, then add another cup of shredded cheese and mix again until melted.
  13. 13Add the bacon and onion back into the skillet and toss it up.
  14. 14Add the chicken into the skillet and mix it all up again.
