Directions

  1. 1Add parsley to a food processor.
  2. 2Chop the jalapeños.
  3. 3Add garlic, onions, and jalapeños to the food processor with the parsley.
  4. 4Blend the ingredients in the food processor.
  5. 5Strain the blended mixture using a paper towel to remove excess liquid.
  6. 6Add the strained green mixture to the ground beef.
  7. 7Add ground cumin, sumac, Aleppo pepper, paprika, salt, pepper, and W sauce to the beef mixture.
  8. 8Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly.
  9. 9Cut the pita bread to open it.
  10. 10Stuff the pita bread with the meat mixture.
  11. 11Sear the stuffed pita pockets in a hot pan with chili oil, cooking for about 2 minutes on each side until the ground beef is cooked through.
  12. 12Brush the cooked arayes with melted butter, garlic, and parsley.
  13. 13Prepare the sauce by combining yogurt, za'atar, grated garlic, salt, lemon juice, and avocado oil in a bowl.
  14. 14Whisk the sauce ingredients until well combined. (Optional: add water to thin).
  15. 15Serve the arayes with the prepared sauce.

Tips

  • Squeeze out as much liquid as you can from the blended parsley, garlic, onions, and jalapeños.
