Directions

  1. 1Take cow, goat, or even vegan yogurt and add a little bit of salt.
  2. 2Give it a mix to spread it out nice and even.
  3. 3Pour the mixture into a cheesecloth or a nut milk bag or even a fine mesh strainer.
  4. 4The salt will pull loads of water out of the yogurt, thickening it into a luxurious creamy labneh spread.
  5. 5Leave it to thicken for about 24 hours for a really creamy spread.
  6. 6Speed up the process by putting something heavy on top, like a container filled with water.
  7. 7Chuck this in your fridge and leave it overnight if you want to keep it cool.
  8. 8Alternatively, leave it out on the counter overnight to develop more sour flavors.
  9. 9You can also grab the bag and squeeze the extra water out if you need it quick.
  10. 10Once ready, transfer the labneh into a jar.
  11. 11Make a pile on your plate.
  12. 12Swirl it around like this.
  13. 13Give it a little bit of olive oil.
  14. 14Add a little bit of homemade chili crisp.
  15. 15Grab a little bit of pitta and go in for an amazing scoop.
