Ingredients: cookie dough; red food coloring; green food coloring

Directions

1Divide the cookie dough into three portions, placing each in a separate bowl.
2Add red food coloring to one portion of dough and mix until evenly colored.
3Add green food coloring to another portion of dough and mix until evenly colored.
4Wrap the plain cookie dough in plastic wrap and flatten it into a rectangle.
5Wrap the red cookie dough in plastic wrap and flatten it into a rectangle.
6Wrap the green cookie dough in plastic wrap and flatten it into a rectangle.
7Roll out the green dough on a piece of plastic wrap.
8Place the plain dough on top of the green dough.
9Place the red dough on top of the plain dough.
10Trim the edges of the layered dough to create a clean rectangle.
11Roll the layered dough tightly into a log.
12Slice the dough log into individual cookies.
13Place the sliced cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
