Directions

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Melt a whole stick of butter in a casserole dish in the oven while it preheats.

Dice strawberries into tiny pieces.

Put the diced strawberries in a bowl.

Add some sugar and the juice of half a lemon to the strawberries.

Swirl the strawberry mixture and let it sit to the side.

In a big bowl, add 2 and 1/2 cups of flour.

Add 4 teaspoons of baking powder to the flour.

Add 1 tablespoon of sugar to the flour mixture.

Add 2 cups of buttermilk to the dry ingredients and swirl it up.

When the dough is good and sticky, add in most of the strawberries, saving a little for the top.

Let the melted butter cool a little bit.

Add the biscuit dough to the casserole dish with the cooled butter.

Smooth the biscuits out.

Cut the dough into nine biscuits.

Sprinkle the rest of the strawberries and a little more sugar on top of the biscuits.

Bake for 30 minutes.

While the biscuits cool down, make the icing.

For the icing, start with powdered sugar, a capful of vanilla, and a little bit of milk.

Swirl the icing ingredients together.

Drizzle the icing on the biscuits.

Tips
Save some strawberries for the top to make it look pretty.
