French Onion Pot Roast

Directions

  1. 1Season a chuck roast with State Line Bold seasoning.
  2. 2Sear the seasoned roast in a hot cast iron pan with olive oil for about 4 minutes per side.
  3. 3Place sliced sweet onions in a slow cooker. Add butter, salt, more seasoning, a shot of red wine, and a shot of Worcestershire sauce.
  4. 4Place seared roast on top of the onions in the slow cooker and pour in 4 cups of beef broth.
  5. 5Cook on low for 8 hours.
  6. 6Shred the roast and add it back to the slow cooker with toasted baguette slices.
  7. 7Add a layer of Swiss cheese.
  8. 8Cook on high for 20 minutes.
  9. 9Garnish with parsley.
