Drumstick Pudina Pepper Ginger Soup

Directions

  1. 1Peel and cut the drumsticks into smaller pieces.
  2. 2Add the cut drumsticks to a pressure cooker.
  3. 3Add split green gram to a bowl placed inside the pressure cooker with the drumsticks.
  4. 4Add water to the bowl containing split green gram and to the pressure cooker with the drumsticks.
  5. 5Close the pressure cooker and cook until the drumsticks and dal are tender.
  6. 6Open the pressure cooker and extract the pulp from the cooked drumsticks.
  7. 7Add the drumstick pulp, coriander, ginger, green chili, and mint leaves to a blender.
  8. 8Blend the ingredients until smooth.
  9. 9Pour the blended mixture back into the pressure cooker or a pot.
  10. 10Add salt and pepper powder to the soup.
  11. 11Simmer the soup on the stove.
  12. 12Prepare a spice mix with red chili powder, pepper powder, and cumin powder.
  13. 13Serve the soup in a cup.
  14. 14Add sprouts, corn, soya sticks, the prepared spice mix, and a squeeze of lemon as toppings.
