Grandma's Hamburger Casserole (Upgraded)

Directions

  1. 1Drop a pound of ground beef in a hot oiled pan, break it up, and brown it.
  2. 2Add a diced onion to the beef.
  3. 3Drain the extra grease from the pan.
  4. 4Add a jar of marinara sauce, a little bit of salt, pepper, and garlic to the beef and onion mixture.
  5. 5Stir everything in and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until your kitchen smells delicious.
  6. 6While the meat mixture simmers, grab a mixing bowl.
  7. 7Add one cup of sour cream and one block of softened cream cheese to the mixing bowl.
  8. 8Add some green onions to the sour cream and cream cheese mixture.
  9. 9Mix all the sour cream mixture together with a mixy doodle.
  10. 10Grab a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  11. 11Get a bag of cooked egg noodles.
  12. 12Spread out half of your noodles in the bottom of the casserole dish.
  13. 13Spread half of the sour cream mixture on top of the noodles.
  14. 14Spread half of the meat mixture on top of the sour cream layer.
  15. 15Repeat the layers: noodles, sour cream, and beef.
  16. 16Top the casserole with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  17. 17Throw the whole thing in the oven at 350° for about 30 minutes.
  18. 18Once cooled off, sprinkle parsley on top if desired for a fancy look.
  19. 19Serve the casserole on a plate.
