Add oil to the pan and heat it up.

Add the sotong (squid) marinated with turmeric powder and seasoning powder to the hot oil.

Stir-fry the sotong until the water from the sotong has dried out.

Add sliced Holland onion to the pan.

Add cili padi (bird's eye chilies) to the pan.

Add kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass to the pan.

Add a dash of squid sauce to the mixture.

Return the cooked sotong to the pan with the other ingredients.

Stir-fry all ingredients together until well combined.

Add oyster sauce to the mixture.

Add a teaspoon of sugar.

Squeeze fresh lime juice into the pan.

Stir everything thoroughly for a final mix.

Serve the Sotong Goreng Kunyit Thai on a plate.

Tips
For a richer flavor, consider using fresh turmeric instead of powder.
Adjust the amount of chili padi to your preferred spice level.
Don't overcook the squid as it can become rubbery; cook until just opaque.
