Directions

  1. 1In a deep bowl, take cooked rice along with sufficient water and mix well.
  2. 2Cover the bowl, keep aside to ferment for 1-2 days or at least for 18-20 hours.
  3. 3Mash the rice very well using a potato masher.
  4. 4Then strain the rice and keep aside the water (torani).
  5. 5Into that bowl add well beaten yogurt, torani (strained water) and give a quick mix.
  6. 6Roughly muddle mango ginger, curry leaves, lemon leaves, green chilies and add to the rice bowl.
  7. 7Next squeeze half lemon and also add the lemon slices, lemon leaves, roasted cumin powder, and salt.
  8. 8Mix everything and also adjust the consistency by adding less or more water.
  9. 9Pour into a serving bowl and serve!

  • 7 no. Lemon leaf
  • 2 sprig Curry leaf
  • 1 no. Green chili
  • 8 no. Lemon Slice
  • 0.5 no. Lemon
  • 0.5 tbsp Roasted cumin powder
  • as needed Salt
  • as needed Water

Tips

  • Once you see froth, it's a sign that it's fermenting.
  • Adjust consistency by adding less or more water.
