Boil the eggs for about 6 or 7 minutes to make them soft-boiled.

Peel the soft-boiled eggs.

In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup of soy sauce.

Add 1/2 cup of water to the bowl.

Add 1/4 cup of sweetener (honey or agave).

Add 2 tablespoons of mirin.

Add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.

Add 1 chopped serrano chili or jalapeno.

Add 1 tablespoon of Korean pepper flakes.

Add 2 chopped green onions.

Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds.

Add the peeled soft-boiled eggs to the sauce.

Mix the eggs gently to coat them with the sauce.

Refrigerate the marinated eggs for about 2 hours before serving.
