Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Peel the onions and arrange them on a baking sheet.

Drizzle the onions with olive oil.

Roast the onions in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until they're caramelized and soft.

Allow the roasted onions to cool.

In a mortar, crush the garlic cloves.

Heat olive oil in a pot.

Add the crushed garlic to the pot.

Stir in paprika and cumin.

Add a can of garbanzo beans to the pot.

Cook until the chickpeas are coated and heated through.

In a food processor, combine a can of garbanzo beans, garlic cloves, roasted onions, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, ice cubes, and salt.

Blend until smooth, adding water as needed to reach desired consistency.
