Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Mix well and let it rest for 5 minutes until the yeast activates.
  2. 2Sift together maida and salt.
  3. 3Combine the yeast mixture with the sifted flour mixture.
  4. 4Form a dough and add warm milk. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes soft and slightly sticky.
  5. 5Add butter and knead again for 5 minutes until the dough turns smooth and soft.
  6. 6Tuck and shape the dough into a smooth ball and let it rest for one hour until it doubles in size.
  7. 7Punch the dough slightly, knead it again, and form it into a smooth ball.
  8. 8Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces.
  9. 9Grease a baking tray and place the dough balls on it. Brush with milk and let them rest for 20 minutes until they raise again.
  10. 10Preheat your oven and bake the pav at 180°C for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  11. 11Once baked, remove from oven, separate the sides using a knife, and flip over.
  12. 12Rub with butter to make it shiny and let it rest for 20 minutes with a wet cloth over it.
