Seasoned Tomatoes

Directions

  1. 1Wash the tomatoes.
  2. 2Cut 500 grams of ripe tomatoes in half and then into strips about 1 cm in size.
  3. 3Add all the cut tomato pieces into a bowl.
  4. 4Cut half of a red bell pepper into thin strips about 1 cm in size, similar to the tomatoes.
  5. 5Finely chop the bell pepper into small pieces (this can also be done in a food processor).
  6. 6Add the chopped bell pepper pieces on top of the tomatoes.
  7. 7Chop a good amount of cilantro into small pieces.
  8. 8Add the chopped cilantro to your tomatoes.
  9. 9Season with three cloves of minced garlic, a generous amount of oregano, half a tablespoon of black pepper, one tablespoon of salt, and one tablespoon of sugar.
  10. 10Stir and mix everything really well.
  11. 11Add three tablespoons of white vinegar and three tablespoons of olive oil.
  12. 12Mix everything again.
  13. 13Refrigerate the mixture for an hour.
  14. 14Serve the chilled seasoned tomatoes.
