Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Beef Sandwiches

Directions

  1. 1Toss a 3-pound chuck roast into your crock pot.
  2. 2Brown the chuck roast in the crock pot.
  3. 3Cut the chuck roast in half and spread it out a little.
  4. 4Grab a mixing bowl and add 1 1/2 cups of ketchup, 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
  5. 5Whisk all the ingredients in the bowl until beautifully combined.
  6. 6Pour the sauce all over your roast in the crock pot.
  7. 7Put the lid on and set your crock pot to low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
  8. 8Once the cooking time is up, take the lid off.
  9. 9Place the cooked meat into the mixing bowl from earlier.
  10. 10Grab two forks and shred the meat.
  11. 11Pour the shredded meat back into the juices it's been cooking in all day.
  12. 12Get the meat nice and coated in the sauce.
  13. 13Put the lid back on for 10 or 15 minutes.
  14. 14Take the lid off.
  15. 15Get a toasted bun with mustard and pickles.
  16. 16Pile some of that meat on the bun.
  17. 17Add jalapeños on top if desired.
  18. 18Top up the bun.
  19. 19Pick up the sandwich and put it inside your mouth.
