Ooey Gooey Lemon Butter Bars

Directions

  1. 1Drop a box of lemon cake mix into a mixing bowl.
  2. 2Add two whole eggs and one stick of melted butter.
  3. 3Mix all ingredients together with a hand mixer.
  4. 4Set the mixture aside.
  5. 5Grab a 9x13 baking dish and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  6. 6Ploop the lemon cake mix mixture into the baking dish.
  7. 7Spread the mixture out evenly in the baking dish, using a spreading tool sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  8. 8Set the baking dish aside and grab another mixing bowl.
  9. 9Add three and a half cups of powdered sugar, two more eggs, one block of softened cream cheese, and about a teaspoon of vanilla.
  10. 10Mix until all ingredients are beautifully combined with a hand mixer.
  11. 11Ploop this mixture on top of the lemon cake mix layer in the baking dish.
  12. 12Spread this second layer out evenly, edge to edge.
  13. 13Bake the whole thing in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  14. 14Once out of the oven, allow it to cool off completely as it will be molten lava hot.
  15. 15Once cooled, grab the parchment paper and lift the dessert out of the baking dish.
  16. 16Grab a knife and cut them into bars.

Tips
